Why Craig Is Taking on 28 Days of FebFast

This February, Craig has kicked off 28 days of FebFast.

Why?
Because last year was tough — and like a lot of people, he struggled.

As many of you know, it’s been a year of picking up the pieces. Of learning, healing, and slowly finding his feet again. Supporting mental health has always mattered to Craig, but this year it feels even more personal.

By taking on FebFast, he’s raising awareness not just for himself — but for the young legends out there who don’t always feel like they can speak up, or don’t know where to turn when things feel heavy.

Why This Matters to Us at Gopher Caddy

At Gopher Caddy, we’ve always believed golf is about more than just the scorecard. It’s about getting outside. Clearing your head. Walking alongside mates. And finding a bit of space when you need it most.

We’re proud to support young golfers out on the course, and we want to see more of it.

One of our ambassadors, Noah, puts it perfectly. For him, the course is a place to get out of his head — a place where he can focus on something else, even just for a few hours. Sometimes, that’s exactly what’s needed.

“There’s always going to be someone better than you. But make sure no one has a better mental game than you.” - Noah

Community Is Everything

Craig hasn’t been playing much lately. Life has been full — everything that’s been going on, plus school holidays, has made it hard to get out for a hit.

But that’s part of the message too.

If you can get out there, do it.
If you can’t, reach out.

Because community is everything — and leaning on others isn’t weakness, it’s how we get through.

Golf has a way of bringing people together without forcing the conversation. You walk. You talk. Or you don’t — and that’s okay too.

Sometimes just being there is enough.

This FebFast, We’re Standing Together

This FebFast is about awareness, support, and reminding people they’re not alone. On the course, off the course, and everywhere in between.

If this story resonates with you — check in on a mate, take a walk, or find your own place to clear your head.

For many of us, golf is that place.
