It’s that time of year when things get a little silly. Black Friday rolls around, inboxes fill up with offers, and suddenly we’re all shopping for things we probably didn’t know we needed.
Sometimes for good reason. Sometimes just because everyone else is doing it!
So, what does that mean for Gopher Caddy?

As a small business, we know we can’t compete with the big guys when it comes to Black Friday discounts. And honestly, we’re okay with that.
We’ve worked hard to create a product that’s practical, thoughtfully designed and fairly priced. Something that’s accessible to everyone, from the beginner just getting into golf to the weekend hacker, the social golfer and the seasoned pro.
We want more golfers to have a Gopher Caddy in their bag, on their cart or clipped onto their buggy. Not because they’ve been tempted by a massive discount, but because it makes looking after the course that little bit easier.
Running a small business also means being mindful of the costs behind the scenes, from manufacturing and shipping to advertising and getting our product out into the world. We have to be realistic about what we can offer while continuing to build a business we believe in.
That doesn’t mean we won’t have a little fun this festive season!
As Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach, we’ll be sharing what we have planned, so keep an eye on your inbox and our socials. We might not be the biggest sale of the year, but we’re always looking for ways to give back to the people who support us.
Wait… Gopher Caddy is turning TWO!
This one feels a little surreal.
Two years of Gopher Caddy out in the wild. Two years of seeing our idea make its way onto golf courses, into golf bags and into the hands of golfers across Australia and beyond.
We still can’t quite believe it.
What started as Craig’s frustration with the old sand bucket has grown into something much bigger than we imagined. There have been plenty of lessons, late nights, new ideas, stock challenges, customer messages and moments where we’ve stopped to think, “Wow, people are actually buying the thing we made!”
The best part has been seeing Gopher Caddy become part of your game. Every photo, review, message, recommendation and conversation helps a small business like ours keep going.
So, our second birthday is something we want to celebrate with you. We’ve got a few things planned, and we can’t wait to share them.
Then, of course, there’s Christmas!
Whether you’re shopping for your golf-obsessed partner, your dad, your mate who takes the game far too seriously, or the person who is just happy to get out for nine holes, we reckon a Gopher Caddy makes a pretty handy gift.
And with the festive season approaching, there will be more happening behind the scenes as we get ready for Christmas. Think gift ideas, a few special offers and plenty of activity as we head towards the end of the year.

A little personal update from us
Behind the product, the posts and the parcels, there’s a small team trying to make it all happen. And, as with most small businesses, life doesn’t always stick to the plan.
Personally, it’s been a big year for our family. Craig is also heading in for surgery in mid-November, which means he’ll be out of action for around four weeks.

We’ve always wanted Gopher Caddy to be about the community as much as the product. We love seeing how you use yours, hearing your stories and sharing the different ways golfers get out and enjoy the game.

Looking ahead to 2027
As much as we love the festive season, we’re already thinking about what comes next.
In January, we want to get back out there and bring our community together again. More social golf, more beginner-friendly sessions, more opportunities to meet other golfers and more Gophers out in the wild.
We want to keep making golf feel a little more welcoming, a little more social and a lot more fun. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are still figuring out which club to use, there’s a place for you.
Because at the end of the day, Gopher Caddy has always been about more than carrying sand. It’s about looking after the course, enjoying the game and looking after each other along the way.
