International Women’s Day: Building, Balancing and Backing Yourself

International Women’s Day is a moment to pause and reflect on the women shaping industries, families, communities and futures, often all at once.

For me, it’s deeply personal.

Behind every product launch, content shoot and campaign sits a woman navigating the beautiful chaos of business ownership and motherhood. There are website updates done during nap time. Emails sent between daycare drop-offs. Orders packed with little helpers nearby. And workouts squeezed in because health and fitness aren’t just hobbies — they’re anchors.

Building in a Traditionally Male Space

Operating within the golf industry has been both exciting and challenging. It’s a space that hasn’t historically been led by women, yet here we are — contributing, innovating and shaping conversations.

International Women’s Day reminds us that leadership doesn’t need to look one way. It doesn’t need to sound one way. It certainly doesn’t need to come from one background.

Women bring strategy, empathy, resilience and long-term thinking to the table. We build community alongside commercial success. We consider both experience and outcome. And we are increasingly redefining what leadership looks like across every industry.

The Reality of “Balance”

There’s a common narrative around “having it all.” The truth? Balance isn’t static. Some days business wins. Some days family needs more. Some days the to-do list simply rolls over.

But progress isn’t perfection. It’s consistency. It’s showing up again tomorrow.

International Women’s Day is a reminder that ambition and motherhood can coexist. That strength can be both soft and powerful. That resilience is often built in the unseen moments.

Backing Yourself

If there’s one message to take from today, it’s this: back yourself.

Back the idea.
Back the pivot.
Back the version of you that wants more.

Because the women who move industries forward aren’t waiting for permission; they’re building anyway.

To every woman navigating business, family, health, creativity and community — you are doing more than you think.

And today, we celebrate that.

Happy International Women’s Day. 🌸
